Fields: OAI-PMH Server
Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) is a standard protocol that facilitate easy publishing and harvesting of metadata among repositories. If you are interested in detailed information about the protocol its services, there are various Internet sites that provide that information. For more information, see http://www.openarchives.org/pmh/.
Assets > Import/Export Assets > OAI-PMH Server
The Portfolio OAI-PMH server publishes metadata only for assets that have an access level of “Extended Public (Everyone)” and a status of “Published.” For more information about asset properties, see Fields: Add/Edit Asset.

As a publisher, Portfolio publishes its hierarchy as sets. Deleted records are not persistent nor transient. |
Data Source Name
Specifies the name (up to 80 characters) that is assigned as the repository name when a harvester submits a harvest request. Harvesting sites can use this name as a means for identifying harvested assets in their repository.
Data Source Name is always active because Portfolio provides response to Identify requests even when Allow OAI-PMH Harvesting is deactivated.
Allow OAI-PMH Harvesting
Enables OAI-PMH harvesting of the assets in your system. When you enable this setting, the Maximum Response List Size and Resumption Token Life settings become active.
Note: While OAI-PMH Harvesting is not activated, Portfolio continues to provide response, but for only the Identify, ListMetadataFormats, and ListSets requests.
Maximum Response List Size
Specifies the maximum number of records (1 or more) to include in a response to a harvest request.
Note: Portfolio hides this setting unless Allow OAI-PMH Harvesting is enabled.
Resumption Token Life (Seconds)
Specifies the number of seconds until the resumption token given to the harvester expires. The resumption toke is a code that the harvester uses to request additional records from Portfolio. The token is valid until the Resumption Token Life has expired.
Note: Portfolio hides this setting unless Allow OAI-PMH Harvesting is enabled.
