Managing web services

Web Services provides a way for Portfolio to quickly and easily connect to a Symphony or Horizon ILS to share information. The web services can be used in Portfolio to provide authentication services and the ability to limit by availability. You can set up web service definitions for several ILS instances.

Support for web services on Portfolio can vary based on product versions.



Compatibility information for BLUEcloud Central, Portfolio, Horizon, Symphony, and Web Services is found in the SirsiDynix Application Suite Upgrade Compatibility Matrix on the SirsiDynix Support Center.

If you do not have a login to the SirsiDynix Support Center, please contact your library administrator or SirsiDynix Support to get a copy of the latest compatibility matrix.

When you have set up one or more web service definitions, you can select which to use for authentication and as search source sites. For more information, see Setting up Web Services authentication and Adding or editing a Discovery source site.
