Fields: Choose Search Target

Choose Search Target lets you select the search target for which you want to select displays. When you choose a search target and click Next, the Display Selection page displays. For more information about the Display Selection fields, see Fields: Display Selection.

The Discovery administrator database metadata is cached in the Discovery Server application. Any changes to search profiles will not be reflected to the patron in Searching until the metadata cache is refreshed. For more information, see Refreshing the search cache.

Profiles > Display Selection

Profile

Displays the name of the search profile for which you are configuring displays.

Search Target

Displays a list of the descriptive names, in alphabetical order, of all the search targets that are selected for the search profile. Search targets must be selected for a search profile before any displays can be configured for them. For information, see Selecting search targets for a search profile.

Note: If a search profile does not have any search targets selected for it, a message displays and indicates that no data can be displayed. You cannot select displays for a search profile that does not have any search targets selected for it.
