Fields: Quicksearch Buttons

Quicksearch Buttons lets you create, edit, hide, display, and arrange predetermined Portfolio searches and links to outside resources. Quicksearch buttons are primarily pre-configured searches that you can set up for patrons to quickly find items in your library. To configure a Quicksearch button, you can prepare a search using search strings, advances search settings, an facets. All of the search criteria are part of the resulting URL for the search results page. Copying that URL and pasting it in as the path for the Quicksearch provides the path for the search. When a user chooses the Quicksearch button in the Searching interface, the search is run and provides the same results (or results that reflect any changes that have been made to the system including new or deleted titles).
