Adding rooms

You can add a room to the currently selected room. If there are other rooms listed, the new room will be placed at the bottom of the list. When you create a room, you can create a room that is empty of content, or you can choose to copy content from a different room anywhere in the room tree, including SirsiDynix published content. Portfolio copies only the content in the room, not the children of that room.



Many of the properties of a room are specific to a single profile, meaning that they may not match the settings for the room as it appears in a different profile. When you change those settings in a room, they don’t change in other profiles. When you create a new room, Portfolio assigns the default configuration to the room based on the configuration of the Home Room in that profile. Because the configuration of the Home Room in each profile may be different, the default configuration for the new room in each profile would also be different. You can change the configuration for the room in each profile individually as needed.
