Configuring PDF field properties for a search field

If you want to use a search field to correspond to PDF meta fields, you can set up the PDF field properties for that search field. You can specify the PDF meta field name and PDF data type.

Extra content search fields do not map to MARC Tags, nor do they map to PDF metadata fields. While these options may be available for extra content, changing the settings may cause undesirable results.

To configure PDF field properties

  1. Log in to the Admin console.
  2. Choose Search Configuration from the navigation pane.
  3. Choose Search Fields.
  4. Choose the Configure PDF Field Properties option next to the search field for which you want to specify PDF field properties.
  5. Complete the fields, as necessary. For more information, see Fields: Configure PDF Field Properties.
  6. Choose OK to save your changes, or choose Cancel to discard your changes and return to Search Fields.
