Fields: Configure COSATI Map

Configure COSATI Map lets you map the tags in a COSATI formatted technical report record to a search field in your system.

Search Configuration >Search Fields > Configure COSATI Map

Search Field

The name of the Discovery search field to which you want to map COSATI data.

Exclusive Value

Specifies to extract only the value found in the first tag in the record that includes a value. This setting applied to all of the tags in the current map, but can be overridden by the Concatenate Subfields setting for individual tags.

Mapped Tags

Lists the tags that are mapped for extraction into the field. Select a tag to view its settings in the fields to the right of the list. You can use the Up and Down arrows to sort the list according to the order in which you want the tag data added to the field.

Add Tag

Creates a tag and adds it to the list. The tag fields become active and you can add the Tag name and Subfields.

Edit Tag

Activates the fields for the currently selected tag so you can revise the settings.

Remove Tag

Deletes the selected tag from the list.

Concatenate Subfields

Specifies whether to append the subfields together that are included in the tag. Concatenated subfields are separated by a space.

Note: Concatenate Subfields overrides Exclusive Value for the current tag. If you have selected Exclusive Value and Concatenate Subfields, Portfolio will only concatenate subfields for the current tag rather that extracting the first found value in the tag.

Concatenate Tags

Specifies whether to append the values found in any of the tags included in the list, separated by a space.

Note: If you have selected Exclusive Value and Concatenate Tags, Portfolio will only extract the first value found in any of the tags included in the list (the exclusive value).

Tag

The name of the tag as it appears in the COSATI record. The tag is a string from 1 to 10 characters long. It is restricted to alphanumeric characters and the underscore ( "_" ) character.

Subfield

One or more alphabetic characters that correspond to the subfields in the tag. Each character of this string is considered a subfield. This field is not required and has no length restriction.

Save Tag

Saves the current settings to the currently selected tag. Any changes made to the COSATI Map will not be saved until you choose OK.

Important: Settings to the tag will not be saved until you choose Save Tag. If you perform any other action (such as selecting a different tag or moving the tag in the list) before choosing Save Tag, the settings may not be saved.
