Fields: Discovery Search Targets
Lists all of the search targets that have been created for the system. This includes search targets that are initially installed with the system, search targets that are created when a component is added to the system (such as eResource Central targets), and search targets that you define for your system. From this page you can add, edit, and delete search targets and assign a search target to multiple profiles.

Discovery Search Target list
Displays a list of all the Discovery search targets on the system. The list has these headers:

Name |
The name of the target as it is displayed throughout Portfolio. |

A short explanation of the purpose of the search target. |

Code |
The unique ID of the search target. |
Discovery Search Targets
By default, Portfolio delivers these pre-configured Discovery search targets:

Library, Favorites, and PDF Search |
A search target consisting of the Library Search, Library Favorites Search, and PDF Search search targets. |
|
Library Search |
A search target that searches against any ILS data that has been extracted and indexed. |
|
Library Favorites Search |
A search target that searches against any library favorites data that has been indexed. |
|
PDF Search |
A search target that searches against any PDF files that have been indexed. |
|
Rooms Content Search |
A search target that searches against all Rooms content that has been indexed. |
Management options
Let you manage Discovery search targets by adding, editing, or deleting targets. You can also assign Discovery search targets to specific profiles or rooms.
You can choose these options:

Add Discovery Search Target
|
Lets you add new Discovery search targets to the system. When you create a Discovery search target, you associate it with a Discovery search source. For more information, see Adding or editing a Discovery search target. |

Edit
|
Lets you edit the information for an existing search target. For more information, see Adding or editing a Discovery search target. |
|
Profile Availability
|
Lets you assign a search target to one or more profiles. Assigning a search target to a profile makes that search target available for patrons to search against when they access that profile. For more information, see Making search targets available for specific profiles. |

Delete
|
Lets you delete a search target. For information, see Deleting a Discovery search target. |
