Deleting a role
You can remove roles that are no longer needed. To delete a role, you must first assign a different role to all users to whom that role is assigned. If the role is assigned to a user, it cannot be deleted.

If a role is reassigned for a user who is currently logged in, when that user attempts to access a function that he or she no longer has privileges, Portfolio will return an access denied error and inform the user to log in again to properly access the granted privileges |
To delete a role
- Log in to the Admin console.
- Choose Security from the navigation pane.
- Choose Roles from the Security menu.
- Choose the Delete option for the role.
- Choose OK in the confirmation dialog to delete the role, or Cancel to leave the role in the list.
